2. What Data We Collect

Email addresses

We collect your email when you:

• Submit the quiz results form to receive personalised festival recommendations
• Sign up for ticket alerts via the ticket alert form
• Purchase a Pro subscription via the checkout form

We do not buy or rent email lists.

Analytics data

We use Google Tag Manager (GTM) and Google Analytics to understand how people use the site: page views, clicks, time on page, and general location (country/region level). This data is anonymised and not linked to your name or email.

Data that stays on your device

Some data is stored only in your browser's localStorage and never sent to our servers:

• Your quiz answers
• Your saved bucket list
• Your recently viewed festivals

Clearing your browser data removes this information.

Some links on FestiWise are affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission from the ticket platform. This does not affect the price you pay. Current affiliate partners include Skiddle and Ticketmaster (where applicable). Affiliate links are used to keep FestiWise free.

• Delete your data (unsubscribe from emails, request email deletion)

• Email addresses are retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
• Analytics data is anonymised and retained per Google Analytics' default retention settings.
• localStorage data is retained until you clear your browser storage.

FestiWise is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted their email to us, please contact hello@getfestiwise.com and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date at the top will change when we do. We will not retroactively change how we handle data already collected without notifying you.
